Vitae Arete is operated by Jason Fee, MS, RDN, LDN ("I," "me," "my"). This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect from visitors to vitaearete.com, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

About this website. This website collects only contact, newsletter, and calculator-capture information. It does not itself process protected health information (PHI). Paid clinical consultations are conducted through Practice Better, a HIPAA-compliant platform with which Vitae Arete maintains a Business Associate Agreement. Information you share in the booking and clinical-care flow is protected health information governed by that platform and by Vitae Arete's Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information I Collect

Information you provide directly

Waitlist & contact forms: name, email, primary interest, and any details you choose to share.
Newsletter: email address.
Calculator email capture: email address plus the non-identifying goal type and protein target calculated in your session.
Discovery-call and clinical-session scheduling: handled by Practice Better, our HIPAA-compliant practice management platform. Information you share through the booking flow is governed by Practice Better's privacy policy and the Business Associate Agreement we maintain with them.

Information collected automatically

Analytics: Google Analytics 4 collects pseudonymous data about your visit: pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device type, and referring source. IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
Performance/security logs: Netlify, my hosting provider, keeps standard access logs for security and abuse prevention.

How I Use This Information

To respond to inquiries, follow up about booking and your interest, and fulfill guide requests.
To send the newsletter or calculator follow-up email, only if you opted in.
To understand how the site is used in aggregate, so I can improve content and usability.
To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.

I do not sell your information. I do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

The site uses a small number of vetted third parties. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes:

Cookies & Tracking

The site uses a minimal set of cookies, primarily from Google Analytics, to distinguish unique visitors and measure engagement. You can disable cookies in your browser or install a GA opt-out extension; the site will continue to function.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may request to:

Know what information I hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your information, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

To make a request, email [email protected]. I will respond within 30 days.

Data Retention

Waitlist and contact submissions are retained until you request deletion or a reasonable period following the purpose for which you provided them. Analytics data is retained per Google's default settings (currently 14 months).

Children's Privacy

The site is not directed to children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
