Telehealth across Florida

A Telehealth Registered Dietitian for All of Florida

I am Jason Fee, MS, RDN, LDN, a clinical dietitian licensed in Florida and based in Orlando. Because a Florida licence covers the whole state, I work by secure video with people anywhere in it, from the Panhandle to the Keys. That means you are not limited to whichever dietitian happens to be nearest you; you can choose one who does the specific work you need.

Licensed statewide, which changes what you can choose

Florida licenses dietitians at the state level, so the constraint that usually decides your care, how far you are willing to drive, disappears. A patient in Naples and a patient in Tallahassee can see the same specialist. What should decide it instead is whether the person on the other end of the call actually does your kind of nutrition work: GLP-1 and weight-loss care, metabolic and biomarker-driven nutrition, oncology nutrition, or executive health.

You can verify my credentials in about two minutes through the CDR registry, the Florida Department of Health licence search, and the NPI Registry. On a matter this consequential you should check, and not only for me — the difference between a registered dietitian and a “nutritionist” is a legal one, and in Florida it is written into statute.

How a telehealth nutrition visit actually works

The visit is a conversation, a review, and a plan. Before we meet, you complete an intake covering your history, medications, labs and goals. In the session we go through what is actually happening: your appetite, your symptoms, what a normal day of eating looks like, what has already failed and why. You leave with specific targets rather than general advice, and a written plan you can follow.

Nothing about nutrition care requires a physical exam, which is why video suits it. It also removes the two things that most often end care early: the drive, and the scheduling friction that makes people skip the follow-up where the real adjustment happens. If lab work is part of the plan, panels are ordered through my practitioner portal and drawn at any Quest or LabCorp near you — see how lab ordering works.

Where my clients are

The practice is Orlando-based and statewide by video. Most clients come from the four large metros, and each has its own page with local detail:

If you are somewhere else entirely — Naples, Sarasota, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Pensacola, the Space Coast, the Keys — nothing changes. The licence covers you and the visit is the same.

What I do not do

I do not prescribe or manage medication; your physician or prescriber does that, and I work alongside them. I am not a marketplace that rotates you between whichever dietitian is free, and I am not an app. You get one named, credentialed clinician who knows your history, which is the part that actually compounds over months.

Common questions

Can a dietitian see me by telehealth anywhere in Florida?

Yes. My Florida licence (LDN # ND 11697) is statewide, so secure video visits are available to residents anywhere in Florida, with no drive and no waiting room.

Does insurance cover a dietitian in Florida?

Consultations here are private-pay. Many clients use HSA or FSA funds, and superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement are available on request. Coverage for medical nutrition therapy varies widely: Medicare covers it only for diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and the first three years after a kidney transplant, and commercial plans differ considerably. It is worth calling the number on your card and asking specifically about CPT 97802 and 97803.

How much does a registered dietitian cost in Florida?

It varies by practice and by whether you want a single visit or an ongoing program. Here the first step is a free 15-minute discovery call, so you hear the plan and the pricing before committing to anything.

Looking for a GLP-1 dietitian near me?

Telehealth removes the proximity problem entirely. Instead of finding the closest dietitian, you can work with one who specializes in exactly this: protecting lean mass, managing nausea and GI side effects with food strategy, and planning for when the dose changes or stops.

Is a video visit as good as an in-person one?

For nutrition care, yes. The visit is a conversation, a review of your labs and medications, and a plan. Video also makes it easier to keep the follow-ups, and consistency matters far more to your results than the room you are sitting in.

Wherever you are in Florida, start with a conversation.

A free 15-minute discovery call is the easiest way to see if we are the right fit, no pressure, no obligation.
